Olivia Harms, Writer
Olivia Harms is a hard-working student in grade 11 who has resided in Kelowna her whole life.
Since the long isolation period, she has spent much of her time doing little projects at home, such as aquascaping her thirty-gallon aquarium or sewing a new pair of trousers with her mom. She reads many books in hopes of expanding her vocabulary and understanding of the world. One of her favourite quotes is from a book written by Peter S. Beagle called The Last Unicorn.
“Real magic can never be made by offering someone else's liver. You must tear out your own, and not expect to get it back.”
Before Covid-19 hit, she vaguely remembers travelling to England to visit her family and having a social life. Olivia is looking forward to a future where she will be able to travel and socialize again, even though she thoroughly enjoys time for herself at home. Until then, she is fondly anticipating more entertaining days in her journalism class.
