Naoise O’Neill, Writer
Naoise O’Neill is a Grade 12 student born in Vancouver B.C to a multicultural family with two parents working in film, they have been introduced to many outlets for creativity and gained a respect for other cultures. Some of their interests include crochet, baking and watching films from a variety of perspectives around the world. Their favourite things to make are carrot cake, Trinidadian pelau and zucchini muffins because they get joy from sharing them with people that they appreciate. In the future they plan to set up a sustainable farming community.
They found their passion for journalism through watching documentaries with their father when they were young. They have always wanted to give it a try for themselves but have only recently found the courage to go for it. Some topics that they are passionate about are gender equality for women, men and people who identify between or off the scale. aAs well as development of sustainable products and communities.
