Adventurous, sneakily joyous, and somewhat practical are all adjectives that have been used to describe Elana Wood. As a somewhat academically inclined grade 12 student Elana often finds herself nearing AP physics meltdowns and unintentionally examining the xylem and phloem of plants whilst walking her dog Jax. She absolutely loves getting outside of her comfort zone for a spontaneous adventure. Whether it’s throwing up off the side of a topsail schooner at 3am during a night sail down the Hecate Strait, or hiking 40km down Nootka island with 1.2kg of melting cheese, she is always down for a good time. Elana thoroughly enjoys taking photos (especially of people) and can often be found nostalgically going through them and laughing. She hopes to study Biomedical Engineering at the University of Victoria in the fall of 2019, hopefully whilst wearing Blundstones and drinking coffee out of artistic clay mugs.
