Censor This! says goodbye to one of its own

We are deeply saddened to have to bid farewell to one of Censor This!’ staff, Samara Haverko, who passed away after a tragic accident on Wednesday, May 26th.  Samara was a new graduate of  Kelowna Secondary School. As outlined in her staff bio, she was born and raised in Kelowna. Samara had been very interested in learning more about tarot cards and divination; she had also become very passionate about astrology and was always wanting to learn more about space and the celestial bodies. She found literature very interesting and beautiful. You could often find her reading a book in a local coffee shop. Samara hoped to go to school and get a BA after high school, and wanted to open her own business with her friend in the near future.  She was a truly kind and gentle person.

Samara is survived by her mother, Dawn Dionne, a ‘rock’ in the Indigenous program at KSS.  Our hearts go out to the family.

Samara’s departure has left a huge hole in our hearts.  You are missed….
