Absolute chaos struck the Las Vegas Strip Sunday, October 1, at the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival. While fans were enjoying Jason Aldean’s jubilant performance, hundreds of gunshots fell across the crowd like a sudden rainfall. Thousands of innocent people ran for their lives, jumping over fences and tripping over fallen bodies. They were all doing anything they could to survive.

Although the story is still developing, so far just over 58 are dead, including a young man from British Columbia. About 200 are seriously injured, 500 were hospitalized. The suspect, a 64-year-old man from Las Vegas, was found dead at the hotel room he was allegedly shooting from. The suspect had used what sounded like a machine gun of some sort. The gunfire was constant and extremely fatal.

Hundreds of people attending were able to get very graphic footage and photos. People are seen running in every direction or trying to take cover. You can hear the gunshots raining down on the crowd as Jason Aldean is mid-performance. There is also a video showing Aldean sprinting off stage once he realizes what is happening.

The story is still developing, and police have yet to uncover why this tragedy took place.
