“In the eye of a hurricane there is quiet… for just a moment a yellow sky” – Hamilton

After the destruction that the hurricanes have caused, it’s good to know that there are organizations aiding the people who are affected.

The Hand in Hand Telethon is including celebrities to raise money to distribute to the numerous charities like United Way of Greater Houston, Habitat for Humanity, Save the Children, Direct Relief, Feeding Texas, and The Mayor’s Fund for Hurricane Harvey Relief.

There are various organizations helping with Hurricane Irma in Florida and the Caribbean islands, because the damage was so severe. For instance the organization Oxfam is focusing on the Caribbean islands that were demolished along with the American Red Cross, that has thousands of volunteers on the ground helping the victims and providing shelter for them.

There are ways you can help the victims of the hurricanes as well. You can help by donating money to several charities, donate blood so the injured victims of Hurricane Irma can get the medical attention they need, offering a place to live for the victims, and volunteering on the ground.
