After three years of waiting, the wizarding world is finally returning to the big screen. On October 15th, J.K Rowling and Warner Bros Studio confirmed a spinoff movie sequel to the famous Harry Potter series. David Yates, who also directed the last four Harry Potter films, will direct and none other than the fantastic author herself, J.K Rowling, will do the scripts. The first movie, “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” will be released in 2016, followed by a second in 2018 and a third in 2020.
The movie will be situated 70 years before Harry Potter, and will follow around the well-known magizoologist Newt Scamander in New York City. We will accompany Newt on his quests to discover and investigate the magical creatures of the world. Later in his life, he writes about his findings in a book titled Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, more famously known as the text book used for care of magical creatures in the Harry Potter series.
The anticipated first movie of the trilogy is estimated to be released on November 8th, 2016, two days before the 15th anniversary of Harry Potter. After Harry Potter was rewarded the title of most successful film franchise ever, I have no doubt the spin-off will live up to the same magical glory.
