Interact Club Teams Up With Operation Smile

There’s a group of unsung, unrecognized heroes walking among us at KSS. The Kelowna Secondary Interact club is a group of student volunteers who take time out of their busy lives to help around our school community and act globally to help those in need.

The Interact club has teamed up with fundraising group Operation Smile for their main project this year. Operation Smile is an organization that provides cleft lip and palate surgeries for people in developing countries. Each cleft lip surgery costs $240 so every dollar counts when fundraising for such an important and worthy cause. The Interact club is doing their part to help KSS’s student body as well.

Interact members organize the AP/11 Honours Banquet, to fully recognize each student’s academic excellence, run the extremely popular Pacho days and volunteer in various places in the community. Involvement is vital when it comes to a nonprofit club such as Interact.
